1. Who we are and how to reach us
Speak Hungarian (in Serbian, Pričaj Mađarski) is an AI tutor for learning Hungarian. The service is provided by Belcorp International Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17077634, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. It runs on the website pricajmadjarski.com and in the Telegram bot @magyar_srpski_bot. Belcorp International Ltd is the controller of the personal data we process through these two services. In this text, “we” means that company. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a data controller.
Send questions about your data, requests to see or delete it, and complaints to dalibor@pricajmadjarski.com. We reply within 30 days at the latest.
We process data in line with United Kingdom law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) and, where it applies to you, the Law on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What data we process and why
We process only what a specific purpose needs. If we ever add an option that remembers personal details you tell us, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
Account and sign-in
Your email address, the name you enter, your language and, if you create an account with a password, that password, which we store only in a protected (hashed) form. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and name from Google, but not your password. In Telegram we process your Telegram ID and the details Telegram passes to the bot, such as your name and username. This is used to create your account, sign you in and link the website with the bot. Basis: contract (providing the service).
Learning
The answers you type or say, your questions to the tutor, corrections and explanations, the topics you choose, your level, your words and review cards, your progress and practice streaks, and your interview date if you enter one. We also remember your most common mistakes so the tutor can come back to them. Basis: contract.
From time to time we review selected answers and tutor replies to find and fix tutor mistakes, especially when you report that the tutor got something wrong. Basis: legitimate interest (quality of the service).
Voice
When you send a voice message or record an answer on the website, the recording is sent to OpenAI (Whisper), which turns it into text. We do not keep the recording: we process only the resulting text, like text you type. A voice message in Telegram stays in your chat with the bot, which is up to Telegram. The pronunciation audio you hear is made by Google (Cloud Text-to-Speech) from the text of the phrase. Basis: contract.
Payments
Stripe charges for the subscription. You enter your card details with Stripe and we never see them. We keep the identifier of your Stripe customer and subscription, the subscription status and dates. Invoices and payment records are kept as long as accounting rules require. Basis: contract and legal obligation.
Emails
We send the messages your account needs: confirming your email address and resetting your password. You get practice reminders by email only if you turn them on in Account (if Telegram is linked, reminders arrive in Telegram). We send news and materials, such as the citizenship guide, only if you left your email for that. Every such message has an unsubscribe link. Basis: contract for the necessary messages, and consent for the rest, which you can withdraw at any time.
Feedback
If you fill in a survey about a lesson or your experience, we keep your answers together with your Telegram ID, your lesson count and whether you have Premium, so that we can connect them to your experience. Taking part is voluntary. Basis: legitimate interest (improving the service).
Interview simulator
If you use the interview simulator, we keep the text of the conversation and your interview preparation plan with your account until you delete it. Basis: contract.
Technical data and measurement
Our servers record the technical data needed to run and protect the service, but not the content of your lessons. We report errors to Sentry. Our server and bots are set up so that they do not send it lesson text, passwords or request bodies.
The website uses Vercel Analytics, which gives aggregate visit statistics and does not use cookies. In the app we also record events, for example “lesson completed”, tied to a random account ID and not to your email, so that we know whether the service works. Basis: legitimate interest.
If you agree to measurement or marketing in the cookie notice, we also load Google Tag Manager, through which visit and ad measurement runs. The tools include Google Analytics and the Meta pixel, which receives the pages you visit and the fact that someone signed up or asked for our free PDF guide. We then also remember the campaign you came from (the utm tags in the link) for 30 days in your browser and, when you sign up, store it with your account. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. If you decline, none of this is loaded and every feature works the same. Details are in the Cookie Policy.
3. Who we send data to
We do not sell personal data. We use the services below and send each one only what it needs for its job. We do not send your email, name or payment details to the AI services.
- DeepSeek (the AI model that writes the tutor’s replies) receives the lesson text, your answers and your questions. According to that provider’s privacy policy, its servers are in China.
- OpenAI turns voice recordings into text, and the text of corrections into a numerical form the tutor uses to find your earlier mistakes.
- Google makes pronunciation audio from the text of a phrase, enables Google sign-in and, only if you agree to cookies, provides Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
- Stripe charges for the subscription.
- Amazon Web Services stores account and learning data, in the Frankfurt (EU) region.
- Vercel hosts the website, provides Vercel Analytics and the database with the site’s content and the list of people who left their email.
- Resend sends emails.
- Sentry receives error reports.
- Meta receives the pages you visit and the sign-up and free-guide events through Tag Manager, only if you agree to marketing.
- Telegram: if you use the bot, your messages pass through Telegram, which is an independent controller for what it processes itself. See its privacy policy.
We may disclose data to public authorities when the law requires us to.
So do not write anything in lessons that you would not want shared with these services, for example a personal ID number, document numbers, passwords or health information. You do not need any of it to practise.
4. Transfers to other countries
We are based in the United Kingdom, so your data is handled there too. Most of the services we use have servers outside Serbia, the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, most often in the USA, and DeepSeek in China. Your data may therefore be processed in countries with a different level of protection. The transfer is necessary for the service to work. If that does not suit you, do not use the feature that needs it, or delete your account.
5. How long we keep data
- Account, lessons, words and progress: until you delete your account.
- Records of answers and corrections that we use to find tutor mistakes: 90 days.
- Events in the app tied to a random account ID: up to a year.
- Codes for linking the website and Telegram: 10 minutes.
- Your cookie choice: 6 months.
- Invoices and payment records: as long as the regulations require.
- Email on the news list: until you unsubscribe.
6. Your rights and deleting your account
You have the right to:
- ask to see and get a copy of your data,
- ask us to correct inaccurate data,
- ask us to delete your data,
- restrict processing, or object to processing that we base on legitimate interest,
- receive your data in a portable format,
- withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing does not affect earlier processing.
For any of this, write to dalibor@pricajmadjarski.com.
How to delete your account
On the website, open Account and choose “Delete account”. Your account, sign-in, lessons, words and progress are deleted, and your subscription is cancelled first. If your account is linked to Telegram, only the website sign-in is deleted, and the lessons, words and subscription stay in the bot until you ask us to remove them. Then write to us and we will delete that too. If you only use Telegram, write to us and we will delete your data.
Events tied to a random ID, without your email, expire on their own within a year.
Complaints
If you think we have violated your rights, you can contact the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection of Serbia (poverenik.rs) or the supervisory authority in the country where you live. We would like to try to solve the problem first, so please write to us.
8. Age
The service is meant for people who are 16 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you think we have, tell us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We store passwords only in a protected (hashed) form, the connection to the website is encrypted, and only people who need access to run the service have it. No system is completely secure. If an incident puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the competent authority as the law requires.
10. Changes to this policy
When something important changes, we will tell you by email or on the website before the change takes effect. The date of the last update is at the top of the page. The rules for using the service are in the Terms of Service.
